Fun Facts

CRAYONS:

On average, a child uses 730 crayons by their 10th birthday!

After coffee and peanut butter, the scent of a crayon is the third most recognizable scent.

Originally, tires were white, the natural color of rubber. The same color pigment used to make black crayons was used to make tires black.

PENCILS:

Did you know that a sharpened pencil can be used to write underwater?  Yep, it's true!

LEGOS:

"LEGO" received the name from founder Ole Kirk Christiansen, who took the first two letters of the Danish words LEG GODT, meaning “play well”, and put them together – quite unaware that LEGO in Latin means: “I put together”.

One more thing:

Okay, fess up...were you at least tempted to go find a pencil to see if it indeed writes underwater??
